Introduction of RYDAPT 25mg Capsule:
RYDAPT 25mg Capsule comprises the active ingredient Midostaurin. It is a chemotherapy medication indicated to treat adults with acute myeloid leukemia that is caused due to the defect in the gene called FLT3.
Acute myeloid leukemia occurs when a type of white blood cells called myeloid cells are produced in a large amount by the body. This medication is also recommended for patients with cancer in mast cells, which occurs due to the growth of too many mast cells (a type of White Blood Cells).
Uses of RYDAPT 25mg Capsule:
RYDAPT 25mg Capsule is indicated to treat the following conditions:
Newly diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), in combination with other chemotherapy treatments.
Aggressive systemic mastocytosis.
Mast cell leukemia.
Systemic mastocytosis with hematological neoplasm.
Mechanism of action of RYDAPT 25mg Capsule:
RYDAPT 25mg Capsule targets and blocks the activity of enzymes called various receptor tyrosine kinases in the cancer cells. It inhibits the receptors in growth factor, stem cells, and tyrosine kinase enzymes by interrupting the cancer cell signaling. This, in turn, halts the growth and spread of cancer cells.
