Description:-

Introduction to Soliris 300 mg (Eculizumab 300 mg Injection):

Soliris, containing Eculizumab, is a medication used to treat several conditions:

Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH): PNH is a type of anemia characterized by the excessive breakdown of red blood cells in the body, leading to insufficient healthy cells to deliver oxygen to all body parts.

Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS): aHUS is an inherited condition characterized by the formation of small blood clots in the body, potentially causing damage to blood vessels, blood cells, kidneys, and other body parts.

Myasthenia Gravis (MG): MG is a nervous system disorder causing muscle weakness.

Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD): NMOSD is an autoimmune disorder affecting the nervous system, particularly the nerves in the eyes and the spinal cord.

Soliris belongs to a group of medications called monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking the activity of specific parts of the immune system involved in damaging blood cells in PNH and causing clot formation in aHUS. Additionally, it disrupts communication between nerves and muscles in MG and may prevent damage to certain parts of the central nervous system in NMOSD.

Uses of Soliris 300 mg (Eculizumab 300 mg Injection):

Soliris is prescribed to alleviate the symptoms of Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria, Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder. It may be administered alone or in combination with other medications.
